Flyboys
Introduction

Flyboys  is the next upcoming feature film produced by Dean Devlin's Electric Entertainment.

Here's what an official press release had to say about the film:

The story details the adventures of several young American boys who volunteered for the French military before the United States entered World War I. They ultimately became the first U.S. fighter pilots and were known as the Lafayette Escadrille. Their exploits and heroism were legendary. This is their story.

Next to Tiny IMDb logo James Franco the film is starring Tiny IMDb logo Jean Reno, who appeared in Centropolis' Godzilla  before.

The visual effects for Flyboys  have been done by Double Negative, a VFX company from London, England. They have created over 700 effects shots for the movie.

Check out this report from a special 'invitation only' screening that took place in January in Hollywood: Aviation News by Pacific Flyer at Landings.com. Be warned: This report contains a review of the film, possibly including spoilers.

The Flyboys  Listing at Box Office Prophets is quite interesting as well.

The finished cut of the movie has been first shown to a public audience on March 1, using latest generation digital projection technology, according to postings at the IMDb. Reports and reviews from the screenings have been very good.

The film was released in the U.S. on September 22, 2006.
